I'm ready for my close-up

... but don't get any closer. Spare blip: Neighbourhood watch (you may recognise some of the protagonists).

As you can see, we're back in Almuñecar after spending all day yesterday on a not very efficient journey. You can never tell what traffic in the UK is going to be like, especially around Christmas, so we left S's mum's at 8:30 for the 2 1/2 hour journey to East Midlands Airport. Surprise! We were there by 11 and through security by 11:30. The plane wasn't due to leave for over 3 hours. Then it was half an hour late taking off because they had to jump start it. Won't be flying with Jet2 again.

We were very efficiently reunited with our car at the garage near Malaga airport though, and home before 9. Mystère peered at us nervously from behind R and A, treating us as strangers. By now S's cold was a chest infection and I wasn't feeling too bright either. So it was an early and then restless night.

Today has been very, very quiet. I drove R and A to the bus station first thing as they are spending a couple of days in Málaga before going home. S stayed in bed and has not emerged. I've done a lot of sitting reading, a bit of shopping for invalid food, and finally got around to making a small photo album of rainy Cádiz. But even if it's cloudy it's 15C and no wind, so it could be worse. Tomorrow is another day.
