Through Road

For foreigners, the German rights of way on footpaths can be very troublesome. You may see on a map what looks lie a footpath and when you actually get there, you think you can't possibly simply wander through the middle of someone's property. But generally, you can!

The above scene is not such a clear case as the track that goes past the building on the right is "tractor-wide" and comes directly off a normal asphalt road. But on the other side is the rest - main house and garden - of the property. The, 1485 built, 1575 newly built Upper Mill.

So the display of objects in what is I guess officially their garden is, so to speak, open to the public 24/7 and to the dogs! I wonder if you could leave such bits & bobs about in a UK small town?
