Hanging Bauble

I have slobbed today, not really doing anything other than making the supper.

Len did, at least, go outside and trim more twigs off the silver birch as well as hacking back the jasmine. There's no point hanging on to the jasmine. It sprouts every year like Topsy.

Am listening to an episode of Hard Talk on BBC. Stephen Sackur is talking to Marylin Stafford, an eminent photographer. She's in her 90s. She neither looks nor sounds as if she's that old. There was so much male prejudice against female photographers when she started. She makes the point that she did what she needed to do to earn a living. Her fashion photography often incorporated street urchins.

Her own work is documentary. She believes that photography should tell stories. I thoroughly recommend watching.
