A grand out day - starting with a trip up the wonderfully named Mither Tap which was steep and hosts a ruined fort at the top.

We then stopped at Archaeolink, a now closed millennium project which T had worked developing interactive guides to nearby stone circles. It was sad to see it lying empty & in disrepair; although the recreations of iron age dwellings were still standing strong. The sentiments of tag artist shown in extra perhaps sums it up.

After that we headed to East Aquhorthies, an actual stone circle ( a recumbent stone circle to be precise) at which someone had been worshipping more recently - there were traces of grains & nuts on main stone.

Now back at hotel where balance was in favour of time in jacuzzi rather than pool.

A good day.
