Bushfire and heat

It was 43.9° here today and even the heat lovers in the garden are wilting ( except for the agapanthus). Two electricity substations are burnt out so they are asking us to reduce our power consumption....... We haven’t turned off the air conditioner.

More dead in SA ( Kangaroo Island), and we don’t know what’s happening in NSW and Vic as power and communications are out. A new term of phrase is “smoke induced darkness”.

The navy and army are rescuing stranded people.

Penrith in western Sydney was 48.9°C. Some places are 20 degrees above average.

There is no coordination but our PM has woken up at last and is committing some support. He needs to be sacked. Our minister for emergencies in our state has returned from his family holiday in Europe as we are in a state of emergency. Funny about that. Where is his commitment. He needs to be sacked.

Family and friends have been evacuated from holidays and their homes.

There is a change coming through the state with winds of over 128kph. Devastating in the fire hot spots.

Think I’ll sign off, it’s all too depressing.
