If you can't beat them...

Cyclamen hederifolium

Most of the day was spent at the Lodge.  The main job being to take down and pack away the Christmas decorations.  The visitors book informed us of how much the Christmas guests had enjoyed them and that they intended to book for next Christmas.

We spent so long there, partly delayed by the Monty Don programme on  Japanese gardens that the light was starting to slip away.  So to be on the safe side I took a few shots round the garden.  These Cyclamen (passed on by Kanyl) have been a feature of the rocky area under the verandah for as long as we have had the Lodge.

The pattern and shiney texture of the leaves is what caught my eye.
