Hellebores flowering.

It wasn't such a very dull morning.
I had an appointment in our local town, Sutton Coldfield, at the chiropodist.
The first time I had ventured out on the train. It's only one stop from here.
Stephen had had an earlier checkup at our local dentist, but he walked into town, and we arranged to get together later at a coffee shop along with one of our friends for a catchup.
As it transpired the chiropodist had double booked my appointment! No more slots now till the last week in January.
At least it meant we had a longer session over coffee as a result!
The sun came out for a little while when we set off to get the bus back home, and it felt almost springlike, until later when the cloud cover moved in and the dullness returned.
Yet it has been quite mild at 10C.
After lunch a quick trip to the garage in Lichfield to have the tyre pressures checked, due to a diagnostic warning light on the dashboard.
I just went along for the ride, which is quite rural.
  Soon be teatime!
The photo today is one of our hellebores which is flowering in a pot in the border.
