Late blip todayl

A pell mell day from breakfast to suppertime!
Great excitement this morning as the grandchildren woke up to see snow.
They are all usually up at 7.00am and go downstairs to get their own breakfast cereals. They do this at home. We leave the boxes out on the kitchen worktop with cereal bowls ready. Bonnie, 21 months, had been up a couple of times during the night. This is normal for her.
Breakfast was finished in double quick time as they were itching to go out in the garden. By 8.15am they were all togged up and rushed out to make a snowman and generally enjoy the novelty as they don’t generally see a lot of snow where they live.
Grandad was up by this time and joined them, with their mum too.
I went out in my dressing gown and crocks to take a lot of photos, before my slot in the main bathroom.
I wasn’t out long!
This session was followed by the two older ones having their downloaded pre recorded learning videos by their school. I sat with Libby 8, who was doing some maths.
Her brother had some prepared lessons which he was doing himself with some guidance now and again from his mum.
Toby had some phonic work but couldn’t settle. He is not 5 till end of March. Their dad was occupied with Bonnie, Friday being his day off.
I cannot imagine how parents cope having to juggle home teaching with child care, and husbands working from home. Or wives who work who have children still in Education. And any other permutation of a household make up where there are children.
Very busy afternoon.
The best part of the days is reading to them at bedtime.
I read Toby’s chosen story this evening. whilst Stephen was reading Libby’s 3rd Harry Potter to her.
Sammy is also reading one with his mum. They love reading, having been read to from an early age.
They’ve read quite a few of the Narnia books too which they also enjoyed.
The story I was reading was about an alligator who loved scaring animals in his swamp by snapping his teeth, the big secret being they were false and fell out one day! When the other inhabitants found them they laughed at him. And he was so upset he cried. If you want to know the sequel do say! ;-)
We’re now in bed early (9.15pm!) gathering our strength for tomorrow.
My comments will be few and far between these coming 5 more days.
Apologies;!
I do not know how Mum of 4 Wildlings Blipper copes every day!
