Mount Pond: Wind-tousled Cayuga

Prettier plumage in large

I went to see the Cayuga in the morning; it was being a bit aloof, but I managed to tempt it over a few times, and tried to take different sorts of shots with the little camera... I liked this one for the light in the feathers, and because it shows how much bigger the Cayuga is than its mallard parent species... I was driven away by the cold rather than when I was satisfied with my shots.
Yesterday PM was long... I'll back blip yesterday's WWT pics soon, but I'm still sorting the pics. (Back blip: Robin hoverin')

Today's others here (or right from Coot & ripples)
