Naming da Hringhorn

Wow, after the gales, it's been flat calm all day, with plenty of sunny spells, and the odd shower.  Gales are due again tomorrow.

Another day working on the museum desk.  It's been a steady day of visitors, even an artist up from Edinburgh looking for me, and my apparent knowledge of peats.  Walkies with Sammy and then headed out.  Off to bed early, working tomorrow and need plenty of rest before the big weekend.

So it begins again, Up Helly Aa season and hairy Vikings are here again.  The Scalloway Fire Festival is only a day away, and the party starts tonight.  Fingers crossed for the fine day lasts longer as predicted.  This year's Jarl is George Martin from Trondra, and here he is naming the galley, Hringhorn.  Aa da best for him and his squad.  Taken in the Galley Shed, Main Street, Scalloway.
