Head on a rock

Once again back blipping, but only one day behind

We spent the day on the south coast, mainly in Puerto Rico, and mainly so we could say we had been to Puerto Rico!  Fortunately for us, no earthquakes in Gran Canaria.

We enjoyed a gentle wander along the esplanade, stopping for a coffee early on, and then returning to the same restaurant at about 2.30 for lunch.  The staff there were very friendly, and they had WiFi, so I was able to blip for the previous couple of days.  We still have no WiFi at our digs, but then, getting anything repaired over the Christmas and New Year holidays is no easier in the UK.

We decided that a beach holiday would NEVER be our idea of an ideal holiday.  But for a gentle day in the sun, it was a nice change.  Lovely clear blue sea, plenty of swimmers, so presumably not TOO cold, good views of the hills behind, nice trees in the public park (see extras).  But goodness me, they cram a lot of housing/apartments/hotels into a small area on the side of the hill.

Our AirBnb host has given us a bucket of home grown potatoes, so we need to leave appetite to eat some of those tomorrow.  He also gave us home grown oranges, lemons and avocado from his garden.
