Storm

I had a trip through to Glasgow today on the hunt for some sort of ‘stepmother of the bride’ acceptable outfit. This form of dress I am not at all comfortable with, but needs must, and as Glasgow has a preponderance of vertically challenged women , it seemed the best place to start the hunt .
Glasgow daughter was on hand to help and there was partial success - ie I got a coat and a top , so it may have to be trousers unless I am smitten with the look of a dress between now and March..

While there I blipped the huge puppet Storm which had made the journey with the help of several puppeteers from the Clyde to The Royal Concert Halls.
Storm is made entirely from recyclable materials. The (slightly haunting) description details are that she has "eyes are the colour of oyster shells, her hair thick strands of kelp, her voice the chorus of the waves".
The full Glasgow Life details read: "From the makers of Big Man Walking comes a folklore giant made-real, to kick off our Coastal Connections: Festival in a Day. Storm lives in the waters around Scotland, and in 2020 she will walk on land to share maritime stories of the sea.
There was an enormous crowd to welcome her at George Square and follow her progress to outside the Royal Concert Halls.
