D day

Never go alone for an operation in a foreign country
On the day of said op, do not get a conscience and make a video for your kids in case you don't make it.
After making said video, rmemeber to get on the right train and do buy a ticket, German metro laws are quite strict.
Dont go North, the clinic is south.

So then you get there, in a weird state of mind, everyone speaking Deutsch, you're feeling the most vulnerable in your life whilst your getting stripped down, paper panted, marked up, doped up, ripped up... Three hours late find yourself back in bed with uncontrollable shakes but happy hysteria. Speak relief gibberish to children, recover, anaesthetic wears off, pain relief wears off... Merry effin hell.
Childbirth was a mere pinprick by comparison for the worst pain I ha e ever been dealt with. Think doused in acid from just above the knees to your toes, whilst having your ankles sawn off. And toes burned with a bunsen burner.
Turns out my German for,'cut my feet off' didn't cross the language barrier and no meds touched the schmerz.
Quite easily the worst experience of my life.
