Padstow

Another lovely day and we set off for Padstow. We had a reservation for my birthday lunch at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant. We arrived in Padstow and took a walk around the harbour and had cup of coffee sitting in the sun. We walked along the estuary to St Saviours Point and on further but the path started to get a bit muddy so we turned back and arrived at the restaurant in good time.

My main blip is of a traditional fishing boat in front a lovely old building on the quayside and I've added an extra looking up the Camel estuary with Newland Rock in the centre Stepper Point on the left and Pentire Point on the right and the infamous Doom Bar hidden below the tide between them. I've also added one of the ferry from Padstow coming in to Rock.

Worst part of the day? Heading back to St. Ives in a south westerly direction with the bright sinking sun directly ahead and lots of fast moving traffic on the road.
