Sistema lento

Slow system.

I spent the evening dealing with the submission of a concept note that will hopefully give us the funding to get stuck into some marine conservation activities, specifically to assess the extent of the marine plastics problem in Mozambique.

Of course it was an online submission system with finicky boxes and a connection that timed out before it was possible to enter the information within the character limit, but after 1am and multiple attempts it was finally successful.

I’m happy overall as I feel one of the reasons I’m here is to take advantage of these opportunities and develop project ideas where we can have strong impact. But it would be nice to just be able to whack someone an email to register interest.
