Architectural details
Today has been a pleasant day without so many jobs on my jobs list. I went to the Saturday village market as usual and as usual exchanged pleasantries with the fishmonger. The flower lady explained why her flowers last so long and the butcher gifted me a small pumpkin that had been sitting decoratively on her counter for a while. I could not resist a slice of the local but expensive tomme calalane cheese or a lot of fresh vegetables off the Dutchman's smallholding. So as usual I came away with more than I had intended. In the afternoon, I settled down to write a letter to a correspondent. The process of writing letters longhand has always been a great pleasure. Then, I went for a walk past the park and the casino, of which this photo is a detail, until I reached the old laiterie. By this time the light was going so I hurried home to the settee, blip and the rugby.
