Off We Go!!

We're off today on our trip up North. We had such a fabulous time last New Year that we're doing it all again.
We had planned to leave by 10am so obviously it was 1.30pm before we finally got packed up and on our way. And then we only got as far as Leicester Forest East before stopping for refreshments. Because it's not like we've eaten enough over the last few days!
We had one of our usual row about Mr K one of us being over-reliant on SatNav. 
Who gets off the M1 to sit in a traffic jam on a dual carriageway??????
It wasn't all bad - we had a packet of mini Daim bars from Ikea, several giant packets of Kettle crisps, jelly babies and some M&S marzipan bites.
At about 7pm, after what felt like about fifty years, we got up to our campsite near Hadrian's Wall - Herding Hill Farm. 
It was too dark to see much so I've got that usual lovely excitement about waking up in the morning to see where we are.
