Fly-by

The fog blanketed the hills and in the still quiet of the afternoon never really moved unlike the owls who were hungry.

It was tricky as you had barely time to see them in the thick fog and gloom before they had silently flown right past. I must have looked like one of the audience at Wimbledon with my head constantly moving left to right and back as they were so easy to miss. The black shape would suddenly appear as if by magic - very ghostly - and you would never know if you hadn't been looking at that very moment.

I must add this is a composite image of the same owl on one fly past just to avoid confusion. I would have been truly amazing to have got it as one shot of 3 though and I'm obviously working on it! :)
