First snow...

...and now fog! We’ve had a bit of a “warm-up” ( “warm-up” being relative) today—a very comfortable 39 F—so the warm air hitting the cold snow & lake water has caused us to be socked in with fog & very poor visibility. Nonetheless, we had to drive to the clinic for Tom’s bloodwork & EKG so just drove slowly when we couldn’t see very well. It’s my birthday today, & as we were walking to the entrance of the clinic, Tom suddenly shot his arm out in front of me to stop me, saying that since it was my birthday he’d get the door for me. It cracked me up because of course it’s an automatic door, so it opens as soon as you get close to it. He stepped closer so it opened & bowed for me to go first. Such a thoughtful guy! Haha! I didn’t want a cake so Jennie & Mae picked out cupcakes for after dinner, & I’ve been getting b-day messages from the family through-out the day, so it’s been really nice. We’re not much for big b-day celebrations (unless it’s for one of the granddaughters) & truthfully, with Tom’s leukemia, every day we have is already a celebration! :))
