Colour.

There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun.

-- Pablo Picasso

Today with my Primary 1-3 Youth Theatre we explored colour, movement and our imagination. We met dinosaurs, bees, diamonds (some in mid-air, some not) and we painted the walls, each other and everything in sight with our invisible paint. We read a lovely story and then we used the setting from the book to create an enormous crayola landscape full of apple trees, sky, grass, rainbows and butterflies (oh, and some rain clouds 'because otherwise nothing will grow.')

Sometimes I think this lot will send me to an early grave because they are so full of ideas and play and curiosity that they can't sit still (or stop giggling) for long. The concentration here was pretty impressive!
