Burns Night, a month after Christmas, birth, marriage, death, retirement, leaving school, moving house, every day is an anniversary, a chance to look forward and back. At the bridge there are always memorials, new ones appearing all the time but especially around this time of year. Some are signed and some aren't. It's a good place to stand and ponder.
