A dry day, clearing gradually.  Two of us opted for a walk from the hut and set off up the flank of Elider Fawr to reach Bwlch y Brecan, from where I caught the sun  highlighting Pen yr Ole Wen in the next valley.

The walk was hard because the path disappeared and we were tramping very steeply through tussocks and bog. Definitely type 2 fun!

We decided not to continue to Y Garn and took the path down on the other side of the shoulder, again very steep, which brought us out just the other side of the hut.
