Celebration Day

by Led Zeppelin

Two reasons to celebrate: 1) 3,000th blip and 2) the first day of skiing in Lapland's awesome, peaceful, and inspiring landscape. Note that the sun is at its highest of the day, here north of the Arctic circle. There is about 1 m of snow, and the landscape looked so soft.

I had hoped for a spectacular Northern lights capture for the 3,000th one, but the one-hour wait on the fell side with -24C resulted in almost frozen toes and fingers, and just a vague hint of Northern lights. Well the Aurora Borealis will appear when they do, let us hope another evening during our two-week stay will be more giving.
