Diary of an Edinburgher

Another movie!

Robert (our keenest walker) came to take Archie out this morning, while we nipped off to the movies after our respective exercise. He just put Archie in to the hallway when he returned, where his (Archie's) yummy peanut butter-stuffed bone was awaiting him, and would keep him busy for another hour or so.

We went to 'Silver Screen' - £3 with a cuppa and a biscuit for retirees. Well - we've got to have some perks. Our wee pal Mary had never heard of this fun event, and so she came with us. Funnily enough, a few pals of hers from the retirement home were also going. In fact the place was MOBBED. Never seen so much white hair in one place.

The film we saw was 'Judy', and very good it was too. Such a tragic life, really. Great performance by Renée Zellweger.

After a Prêt coffee, I took a wander through the Gardens, heading on a mission to the Scottish Cafe. I wandered through West Princes Street Gardens, as East Princes Street Gardens are a quagmire, after being covered with dozens of little huts selling Christmas baubles. And it will be like this for months (Extra).
