Year of the Rat
I bought this little fellow on a stall at the Chinese New Year celebrations in Birmingham on Sunday, because he's a rat, to mark this new year. And I'm a rat too.
I cannot help wondering if I shall see another Year of the Rat. That would make me 84.
The colours do light up this grey January. I understand that the 8th February marks the Lantern Festival and the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. I believe there is to be a parade in Leicester. I hope it goes ahead amongst all the concerns about coronavirus.
Today, I have had nothing in my diary. It's wonderful. I shall take Basil out for a walk shortly.
