More Snow - More Work

We've been longing for snow, and now it's here!  Unfortunately it's arrived as wet snow, sticky and heavy, which makes it hard work to dig through. I call it English snow!
So today Jan was out digging to Betty's, and I was out on the roof of the main house, also clearing snow.
There used to be an old telephone cable from our house to a telegraph pole on our neighbours land. The wet snow stuck to the cables and the pole leaned with the weight and our cable broke off. Our telephone comes via fibre optic cable these days so the old copper cable disappearing is just good news. I won't have to photoshop it away in future pictures!
Yesterday was clearing snow, today was clearing snow, tomorrow will be clearing snow, from that shed on the left of the picture, and from the veranda roof, behind Betty's. If we don't clear it we risk roofs collapsing in.
All this sounds a bit negative but we are happy to see the snow. Even this work digging and clearing feels good - no need for a gym card here because we have the white gym just outside the front door.
Having said that I am now very tired and my shoulders are aching. I'm off to bed to sleep and prepare for another day of English snow!
