A Heart-Warming Day

What a brilliant day!  Yes...my 'errm...' birthday today.  I've had so many cards, presents, flowers and wonderful messages from my husband, family and friends, even a paw-print in my card from Ziggy the cat!

My adored husband M took me for a fab and leisurely lunch at the Blakeney Hotel.  This is the view of the harbour and marshes from the window where we sat.  We shared a delicious seafood platter, followed by a lamb rump with a pearl barley ragout and kale.  Finished off with honey-roasted figs with mascarpone cream and a crumble topping.

I hope this doesn't sound smug or cheesy but I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such caring, kind and loving folk.  It really has been the perfect birthday!
