antarctic Adventure - Day 5 Lemaire channel

Antarctic Journal  Day 5

We were woken early so we could go out on deck to experience our transit through the amazing Lemaire Channel.   This passage is narrow and full of ice.  The cliffs either side are massive.  To be honest,  pictures don't do it justice.


I did this in mono because the colour version was so close to mono it didn't look right.  My first extra shows some of the extraordinary colour that was on offer.


My second extra shows a series of shots that prove that penguins can fly (well not very far!)  :-)


This was an extraordinary day full of amazing ice scenery
