On The Move

After a couple of days with my cousins in Michigan, it was time for me to move on to part 2 of my week in the US. This afternoon I flew west to Denver.

As an airline employee I usually fly standby. My cousins live in Grand Rapids, but the flights out of there were looking very full most of the day. Thankfully, Muskegon airport isn’t too much further away. The small airport there is served by only two small 50-seater planes each day, but the one this afternoon was only half full. I love flying out of this airport - check-in and security takes about 5 minutes!

We soon took off over snowy Michigan and onward across Lake Michigan, and 25 minutes later we touched down in Chicago. With a short connection time there, I flew on to Denver, landing late afternoon. It looked like a beautiful sunny day here. A little later I checked into my hotel and went to get something to eat at the supermarket next door. I was quite surprised when I came back outside that it was snowing. That’s Denver for you!
