Life in Sunny Dubai

Preparation

I am not going to be working on Sunday's.

Diane walked over to join us to drop G off at school. We then went for a walk along the jogging track that goes along the length of the beach. Diane has a step counter and said we did nearly 13,000 steps! Not bad. I know we did 7kms.

Exercise done, we went to Costa for a coffee and I looked at her laptop. It seemed to have a bulge, so we decided to visit the second-hand laptop souk after we picked G up. We had shawarmas by the sea first though, and guess what - our view was hindered by the preparation of this annual event... Ironman 70.3 this time. I love flags. I've been fascinated by them since I was a kid, so it was fun trying to identify them.

We got to laptop souq to discover the bulge on the laptop was a faulty battery. They had the spare part so Diane decided to go ahead and replace it. Wow. I have never seen a battery expand the way this one had. Thank goodness it didn't explode or do anything drastic.

It's been great to be home for the rest of the day. G had her online lesson and the flat has been cleaned from top to bottom by Nara. It looks awesome.
