Ramblings and Mutterings

Brilliant Brunel!

Up early to head to Exeter for a meeting with a rather troublesome client.  Luckily I'm charmed them and smoothed things over nicely, and even had time to share some kidney health awareness.  I also pointed out that having been so close to death, a trivial issue like this shouldn't really be worried about.  I think they were taken aback by that.  Lol!

Anyone as I was travel on the Great Western Railway today, I'm always amazed by the engineering that went into it.  You can tell you're on that line because the stations all have similar feels about them, apart from some of the newer ones or those that have had some additions made in recent time.  Old Isambard Kingdom Brunel knew how to build them didn't he?  Tomorrow I'll be at Paddington station.

The train manager on Cross Country Trains from Bristol Parkway to Exeter was hilarious, these were some of his introductions to the various stops:
"Welcome to the titillating station that we know as Tiverton Parkway"
"Welcome to the educational and exciting station we know as Exeter St.Davids"

This blip is at Exeter St.Davids Station.

Today I am thankful for:

1.  The brilliance of Brunel in constructing the Great Western
2.  For the amazing train manager on Cross Country Rail
3.  A chance to share some kidney health awareness
4.  A chance to get home early
