Cobweb Citadels

Woke up to a beautifully misty morning, so we had a quick mug of tea, and drove out to the Granja bridge to photograph the misty islands there - but, on the way, the sun came out and burned it all away. Turned round, disappointed, and headed off to Spain for insulation material. Disappointed again, but we had delicious tostadas with serrano ham and chopped tomatoes, and a strong milky coffee.

Then, on arriving back in Mourão, lo and behold, thick fog. Mike went off to enquire about insulation, and I walked back to the Land through enchantment. So difficult to choose one photo, but this asparagus on the castle ramparts, festooned with cobwebs was what most thrilled me, have never seen it like this before.

Gratefuls:
- east, west, home is best - grateful for beauty on my doorstep
- the sun coming out eventually and being hot enough to dry the bedding I'd washed
- good wine at 70% off in Continente, stocking up to take back to UK for friends and family
