Snowdroppery

I've posted this as my statutory snowdrop blip not because it's anything remarkable, but because I found this and several other substantial clumps in what was for me quite a surprising place on the Water of Leith path just around the corner from home. It's a fairly unprepossessing bit of woodland which is, I'm sure, quite important for the resident wildlife. I'd never noticed snowdrops there before. What I also noticed was that this bit of woodland looked as if it had been recently cleared out a little.

This was this morning, on the way to an early morning haircut (although not with my usual hairdresser, who is away, but someone else in the same salon who did a very good job IMHO), and thence to Milk for the usual coffee and work. The afternoon at the desk.

Another quiet day.
