Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie and tulips

Woke up at 9am, then suddenly it was 10am. 12 hours sleep. Is this normal? We're lucky that Archie isn’t an early riser, even after refusing to go out in the rain before bed.

I had assumed that Storm Ciara was raging outside, and so Becky would cancel her 10.30 Archie appointment. But no, it wasn’t, and she didn’t. But I can throw on my 'gym' gear and be ready in minutes.

And we did have sunshine most of the day, with a wee bit of a breeze. We got off lightly, methinks, seeing what's happened elsewhere.

Rugby this afternoon. I always cheer on Italy, unless, of course, they are playing too well against Scotland (which often happens). But the France/Italy game doesn’t have the same frisson as the home team games.

These frilly edged tulips are just about past their best, though they didn’t last particularly long. Here's Archie admiring them.
