Concentric ....

.... circles.

We have recently joined the local Audubon Society .... more to get birding/photograph ideas more than anything.  We have yet to attend any meetings or outings as we just joined.

We do however have a listing of some of their programs and field trips.  One of the locations on the field trip list is Green Lane, PA. .... not too far from our house.

So .... today we had a road trip to Green Lane to check it out!  There were several locations that we stopped at through out the day.  But we were a little disappointed in the amount and diversity of birds and wildlife.  We didn't see a single squirrel!  And only one Downy woodpecker, a few hawks, some Merganser ducks,  lots of Canada Geese and this lovely mute swan.  Most of the birds were at such a distance getting a good photograph was almost impossible.

I know that you aren't supposed to have your subject in the center of a photograph (this is definitely not rule of thirds!) but I wanted to keep the swan in the middle of the circles.

We were home by around 3:30 pm ..... and immediately saw squirrels and lots of different birds!  Why do we even leave our backyard!?!
