Drab outdoors

The rain returned today, and with I. home recuperating it was good just to hole up indoors. I took D. to school, and later back home again, and later still to fencing, and in between wrote and doctored and did mundane household chores. I also made quite a nice pot of chicken soup for dinner, if I do say so myself. :-)

These glass balls have been collected and received as gifts for quite a few years. My coastal grandparents in Washington found a few that were genuine floats, though I think that would be almost unheard of now. Some were made as ornaments out of Mt. St. Helens ash.
