Ready for Takeoff

Of course, I missed the actual takeoff.  This is a male red-shafted Northern Flicker.  The Flicker in Monday's collage was a female.  I'm always surprised that I can get this much clarity through my not so clean window.  PD gave me a beautiful bouquet for Valentine's Day but I wasn't happy with any of my pictures of it and too lazy to try again - especially because I knew I had this shot in the camera from this morning. :-)

I am grateful for Pipersdad who has been my Valentine for 49 years! ♡♡♡
