Preparation Day

(15/2/20)

Wow. Where to start. We seemed to be all over the city today, getting things ready for the next few days/week. First off, I tried to put in a couple of hours at "work" only to discover that my login account has been suspended. Hmmm...

Next was haircuts for both of us. That didn't take long. We were both done in thirty minutes! I can't remember how it happened but we ended up close to G's school to have a coffee and doughnut by the sea. This was the most productive hour as it gave time to sort out what we needed for the Pet Show tomorrow. Basically, I needed to place an order for the products we're promoting and I needed to collect it within hours. The right people sprang into action and made it happen!

We then drove across town to the Volvo garage in Festival City. G took the picture for my blip on the way there. It is Business Bay seen from First Al Khail Street. The guys at Volvo wanted my final decision on what to do with the car. I've now got until Tuesday to sort things out. We needed to collect some things from the boot of the car, again for tomorrow, so would have had to make this trip anyway.

We then popped into the mall to get doughnuts as a special Valentine's treat for the kids. That done, it was back home only to head out again for Awana. I have to say, the kids are beginning to give us what we expect from them i.e. sit and listen(!!!) They were really good chatting with us whilst we waited for other kids to arrive.

We were two volunteers short, but G just changed things around so it wasn't felt too much. It turns out, our little "angels" quite like drama and acting and did the task of acting out a Bible story that depicts love really well. They had all of fifteen minutes to prepare. :)
