Bats and full moon

After a full day of driving we ended up sleeping over in the border town of Ganta. We found a nice little street Restuarant and watched the full moon rise as fruit bats descended on the town for feeding. You can’t see it well in the photo but there are hundreds of little black dots. All fruit bats.
The driver was very happy today as we passed through his home town where his mom lives. He hadn’t been there or seen her for 10 years! Made me very grateful for seeing my family now as frequently as I do. Tomorrow its hello to Guinea!
