General Knowledge???

Met a colleague for a drink and chat this evening. There was a quiz on, which we didn't participate in. Heard this at the bar:-

Quiz master: Which country did the WW1 battle of the Somme take place in?
Lady at bar: It was Germany wasn't it?
Her friend: No, that was WW2 wasn't it?

:-o And I thought I was bad at general knowledge!
