Evening light

Very inclement weather until late this afternoon when the leaden skies finally cleared and we were treated to a bright, sunny blast lighting up the dark receding clouds.

Try as I might I was not able to capture these very atmospheric conditions hanging to make do with a glimpse of the clearing skies and pinky clouds reflecting in the windows of our car.

We ended the day at a Travelodge in Northampton enroute for a week in the Lakes from tomorrow. Most of the afternoon was spent getting stuff ready and packing the car. We’d been out for a walk in the morning looking for a Costa Coffee shop for which we had some vouchers pushed through our letterbox.

In the end we didn’t go as Susan was distracted by a pair of boots in the Cotswold shop. No matter what she tries her current boots rub a blister on right heel each time she wears them which is rather limiting. So, following much advice and help she bought a pair of Meindl boots. We’ll see how she goes.

Not much of a mysterious abstract. It’ll have to do. Thanks for hosting Ingeborg.
