Painted the Town Red

This evening my friend Claire and I hosted my birthday celebration ‘Paint the Town Red Party’ in aid of the Medical Detection Dogs Charity at my fab village cafe The Bow Window.

The cafe team did a fantastic job looking after us all and keeping us fed with red themed drinks and delicious cakes. The Strawberries and Cream Cheesecake was delicious. Everyone wore something red which added to the party atmosphere.

It was a squeeze for 33 humans, 3 dogs and a huge table of raffle prizes but our lovely guests made generous donations and learned something new about this amazing charity in the wonderful ambience at The Bow.

Medical Assistance Dog Pal and MDD Ambassador Dog Poppy took the party in their stride and enjoyed the cool floor in the Snug room.

Local village businesses made donations with top prize a red bouquet from the Lavender Kings Florist. As always it showed great community spirit in Lenham.

Update 20 Feb: Monies raised on the night £245 plus £45 online donations. Two MDD talk enquiries and one potential new volunteer.
