On our way home

We were up horribly early to get our 6.30am transfer to the airport. It seems to be a favourite past time in Punta Arenas to race noisy, mechanically enhanced cars up and down the streets of the town throughout the night on weekends, so we got very little sleep last night and were feeling very tired this morning - reach for the coffee! We flew from Punta Arenas to Santiago (with a touch down in Puerto Montt) and then had enough time to collect and recheck our bags in to fly back to London. 


The whole day has been spent either in airports or travelling. This rubbish photo was taken from the plane window as we flew off from Santiago back home to London. It does show the impressive Andes mountains, the views were quite spectacular out of the plane window.


We are now home, arrived Monday mid morning. I have tried to catch up the back blips whenever I got wifi as we had no mobile coverage in Antarctica, which is quite understandable, and the wifi was just too weak to upload any images. The back blips I have posted so far were from our hotel in Punta Arenas once we left Antarctica. I will catch up the missing blips later
