Lyme Park Tree

We enjoyed a lovely, but very cold walk this afternoon in Lyme Park and this lone tree often features in images of the area. This image is straight out of camera and has only been cropped for effect.

Lyme Park dates back to 1346 when it was granted to Sir Thomas Danyers and is located south of Disley, Cheshire. Now managed by the National Trust it consists of a mansion house surrounded by formal gardens, an expansive deer park and miles of glorious, breathtaking scenery.

I'm sure you will see many images of this throughout the year.
