Wild Atlantic Seaweed Bath

Well it turned out a bit wilder than I expected! I rocked up for my seaweed bath at the appointed time, 3.30pm, and it was blissful - a slight drizzle, lots of birdlife and good company. However on emerging an hour later I promptly fainted! And was then spectacularly sick. To cut an extremely long story short the following ensued: a drive in O's large van plus puppy called Finbarr to Bantry hospital where they predicted a 5 hour waiting time so sent on to South Doc ; at SouthDoc a thorough examination and the insistence I went up to Cork (noooooo); two sets of very jovial ambulance drivers; the embarrassment of remaining in my wet swimming costume, no shoes and one sock; a 6 hour wait at Cork University Hospital; every check known to woman ; miraculously meeting up with Himself again (thank you TJ for taking him to retrieve the car) and home at 4.40am in the most horrendous rain and wind. The good news is everything is fine - it was just one of those things. An awful long day but the kindness of strangers.
