This is the guy who . . .

. . . came to fetch the car to take it to the garage.

And we now have a Jaguar parked in the drive!

It’s a long story.

In a few lines:

Saturday - whilst we were at the theatre the driver of another car in the car park crashed into ours - ‘his foot slipped!’ Fortunately, he left his details and accepted responsibility.
The insurance company were going to arrange for the car to be collected and us to be taken home . . .

. . . but we didn’t want to go home.

So Gordon drove the car, with the crumpled back and smashed back window, back to Whitley Bay.
A lovely Premier Inn lady helped with plastic sheeting, tape and a secure parking space.
Gordon spent several hours negotiating with insurance people (he does this with such charm that people end up doing exactly what we have decided we want them to do).

Sunday - we drove to the Sage - Gordon got the help of Security to look after the car.
After the concert he drove us home - a good thing it was not raining.

Today - Gordon went to fetch a hire car (we insisted on a big car, as we are heading down to Kent tomorrow, so a normal garage courtesy car was not good - we have ended up with a Jaguar!)
Arrangements were made for our car to be fixed at a local garage.

This is the guy who . . .

. . . came to fetch the car to take it to the garage.

He was taking photos of our car and laughed when I asked if I could take a photo of him.

And all this whilst we were enjoying the most magical weekend.
Isn’t life interesting!!
