A break in the weather forecast...

...so we had a little outing to the Piece Hall in Halifax this aft...
The Piece Hall is a Grade I listed building in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. It was built as a cloth hall for handloom weavers to sell the woollen cloth "pieces" they had produced.[1] It opened on 1 January 1779, with 315 separate rooms arranged around a central open courtyard.[2]
The Piece Hall reopened on 1 August 2017, after a £19 million restoration project started in 2014 ( Wiki )
Last time we tried to visit it was all closed up at the start of the restoration work, and we haven't been back since. We saw on local news the opening of the People Play installation by the artist Alice Irwin. It is inspired by the families that worked in the textile industry during the early industrial revolution who sadly didn’t have the opportunity to play - so that prompted our mission!
Four seasons in one day  just about summed up the weather - see extras - but it was an interesting visit... The main blip is looking along one of the galleries.
