Ardoe House

We’d a visit at lunchtime to Ardoe House - a local hotel - for a retired Gps lunch. We enjoyed catching up with old colleagues, and had a talk about Braemar from one of our number who has retired to that area.
Ardoe House was designed by a prominent local architect - James Matthews - and built in 1877. Wiki tells me he also served as Lord Provost if Aberdeen and lists a large number of local buildings he designed.
