Camperdown House

We’d a visit to Edinburgh today to catch up with the kids. On the way down we ended up exercising Brodie in Camperdown Country Park where there was certainly plenty space for him to run around in.

Located within Camperdown Country Park we found Camperdown House which was built in 1828 for the 1st Earl of Camperdown, Robert Haldane-Duncan (1785 - 1859), on his Lundie Estate. Duncan was the son of naval hero Admiral Adam Duncan (1731 -1804) who had defeated the French at the Battle of Camperdown in 1797. It was designed by William Burn (1789 - 1870), in a neo classical style.
