Frogspawn

This morning it was a parkrun with a special extra twist.  Once every 28 years, the leap year falls on a Saturday, so in essence today's parkruns were the first ever to run on a leap year Saturday!  Despite the continuing poor weather and the very muddy meadow, we had 96 runners turn out to take advantage of the weather window.  Next week it is International Women's Day, so we volunteers will be wearing our purple tops and hoping to cheer on lots of women who can (and lots of men too!)

Back home after processing the results in Tarquin's over cuppas and toasted teacakes, I've uploaded my photos from the event, hung the high-vis jackets out to dry, aired the barcodes and taken a walk up to the allotment to look at the frogspawn in the pond which Tony spotted yesterday.  He has gone up there to do a couple of hours' work whilst the sun shines.

Let's hope we have lots of froglets!
